Bullrush Green & Cow Parsley White Coffee Table
This old coffee table had the most beautiful shape with attractive legs and detailing, but was covered in an old fashioned dark stain.
After a light sand of the old varnish to create a surface that the wood paint could more easily fix and bond to, the table was ready to paint.
The table top was painted with a couple of coats of Thorndown Bullrush Green Wood Paint with the rim and legs in Cow ParsleyWhite to add contrast and interest to the piece, helping to accentuate the architectural features.
Brue Blue Coffee Table
An art deco secondhand find on the internet was a bit stained and scratched up so was sanded and painted with 2 coats of Thorndown Brue Blue Wood Paint to perfectly suit its new home.
Wetlands Green Coffee Table
A very old and cheap pine coffee table was painted with a couple of coats of Wetlands Green Wood Paint giving it a free and pretty new look.
Nest of Tables
Once upon a time nests of tables were the must have practical set of furniture for homes across the country, then they fell out of fashion.
But they’re great pieces of furniture and can be modernised very easily. These old tables were sanded to remove old stains and a bit of the old varnish to give a good key for the paint to adhere to.
Leftover Wall Paint in Reed Green, Greymond, Yew Green and Green Hairstreak were used to transform the pieces and tie them in perfectly to the decor of the rooms. A really cheap and easy way to create bespoke pieces of furniture for your room designs.
Thorndown Wall Paint is a highly durable paint and adheres well to multiple surfaces such as wood without the need for a primer, so if you want a flat matt chalky finish it’s the perfect choice.
